New local amateur photo competition with cash prizes

A RECENTLY launched local North West Farmer photo initiative is seeking to showcase photographs of farming life in the Mallee and north-west Victoria.

The publication is searching for creative images produced by amateur photographers for a special limited edition North West Farmer 2025 calendar which will be sold in late 2024.

Part proceeds from the sale of the calendars will be donated to the North West division of the VFF Farm Safe program.

Local photographers will have the opportunity to win up to $250 cash for their image with a monthly $100 cash photo selected for each of the 12 months and a calendar front page image being awarded a $250 cash prize.

The organisers of the competition are looking for creative photographs which tell the story of life in the north-west, photos which depict our regions people living and working, our agricultural roots and the amazing regional lifestyle we enjoy.

All submitted images throughout the year will be on show across North West Farmer, Sunraysia Daily, The Guardian Swan Hill and the Gannawarra Times newspapers, websites and social media platforms for everyone to enjoy.

A collage of entered photos will be published in the North West Farmer each month, with 13 overall images being selected to be featured in the inaugural 2025 North West Farmer Calendar to be released in December 2024.

The competition is open to receive photograph submissions from local photography groups, schools and community organisations as well as from local residents across the north-west.

To submit your photo entries, visit www.northwestfarmer.com.au/nwf-calendar. You can enter as many photos as you like as well.
